I definitely would say what you did is as far away from
failure as the east is from the west. You wanted to refocus
your life to know what is important and what is not so
important and you wanted your drawing nigh unto the Father to help others and to shine His light through you and I know you did that for me and others, and God honors our hearts. Your prayer blog was a wonderful thing but in the end its about having that pure heart of love for the Father and his Son.

What a lovely ending thought that we taste daily of His love and grace.Truly my prayer is for your peace and blessings.

I so agree that people never truly come to the Father out of fear, but Love only. For me, when i was growing up, you served God out of fear of hell, and thus I never served God in my heart.

It wasn't until midway through my twenties when someone really told me about the love of God that I began to love and trust and serve Him.

I totally believe we have to love people into the kingdom, hate and judgment people see everywhere, its the love of God that separates us from the world.

I have felt this way all week as I've knelt to pray...and what a comfort to know that
when we don't have the words or the words we pray seem so inadequate that Jesus prays
for us and makes our prayers effective and acceptable.

Yes, we look at ourselves through natural eyes, and often it is hard for me to look at
this shell that is perishing day by day and knowing my corruptible mind and find anything
to love. But God is a spirit and He looks not on the outward man but looks into the inward
parts of us and sees our hearts and what He sees and loves is the born-again, redeemed
spirit that now resides within. Whew! thank goodness. : )

Yes, when we wake up to our lives and find ourselves lost, not knowing how we got here, like the wasteful/prodigal son...how comforting to know that our Father finds us. And not only does he find us as soon as he sees our approach he rejoices and comes rushing toward us to receive us and hug and kiss us and to throw a great big party...yea! Also to think that when God sees us its not as a forgiven sinner, but as his flock, as that silver coin ,as the sons of God. Again yea!

As far as people suffering unto death even as they cry out to God, well i always remember Hebrews 11:35-38, where it talks about all the beatings and wandering around in deserts, and being afflicted, destitute and tormented...and all these having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise.

Having hardships and trials and difficulties in life does not mean you don't have faith or are lost or aren't doing something "right". The same faith that enables some to escape troubles enables others to endure it. The same faith that enables some to escape death helps others to die victoriously. Paul was constantly writing about his hardships and sickness and imprisonments and in the end he spent his last days in prison and was crucified...this the man who wrote most of the new testament! God is not our bridge over troubled waters, but our pathway through them.

I love how Luke tells us about the forgiven woman who washed Jesus's feet, with her tears,
out of her humbleness and Love.

I pray for the outpouring of blessings in your life
as I am bowing down washing your feet.

I love this parable because it lets me know that salvation is not about me earning it
through works and legalism and following every letter of some law...because i would
never be able to earn it...i'm just not that good. But instead salvation is this free gift
that God has given to us and if we come to him humbly and with love for the Son in our
heart then we know salvation is ours and we are no longers sinners in his eyes but his
children with the righteousness of God upon us.

Romans 5:5 talks about the agape love of God. That self-giving, unconditional love...agape
is a love by choice and an act of the will unlike romantic philos love which is more of a selfish love of chemistry, attraction and chance. God loves us in our unclean, sinful state...we don't
have to earn his love its just freely given. And we are to use our wills to actively love our
fellow humanity in like manner...because if i love you the way God loves you then i won't steal from you or kill you or tell lies about you or in anyway knowingly cause you harm. Now obviously
God is perfect and we are not so we will fall short...but it is the mark we must strive toward.

Truly the bible needs to be read line upon line, verse upon verse and precept upon precept.
Too many horrors have been committed in His name because people have taken a line of
scripture out of context and built a 'doctrine of hate'.

Dream(e)scape

Bodily uplifted from my bed
The hand of God twirling me faster and faster
Bodily caught up in a cloud
I travel to the third heaven, and hear secrets which cannot be uttered

In the moments between sleep and wakefulness
In the quietus of my dawn
You are with me
and I am loved.

I too run or rale or something from giving God my "First fruits". Its that battlefield of the mind.
Our pride keeps us from wanting to live a life of real submission. And the irony is God only asks
it of us for our benefit. God loves us and desires communion and relationship with us but we need Him, we truly can't make it any other way...at least not in any kind of victorious way.

james tomasino goes into this in depth on his blog. We had a wonderful exchange because i
wanted to know why we keep returning to sin. While he is much more eloquent than i
he explained to me that its because the way of the flesh is the pleasure that we can feel now
but by following the path of Christ and partaking in his suffering we find real joy--eternal joy.

"For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice"

This tale has a happy ending, for Jesus left that the Comforter might come. The
Holy Spirit inside of us is the POWER to live a holy life.

But for me to be perfectly honest even as i type what i know is the right path something inside of me wants to revolt.

So its that progressively putting to death the sinful appetites of the lower nature and continually being led by the Spirit of Life, that allows us to continue to the finish. We must wake up each day
and make a concious choice to live for Christ.
